Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg stars as a Brooklyn detective whose goofball ways are threatened by the arrival of a stern new captain (Andre Braugher). A cast of screwballs fills out the ranks, but it’s the interplay between Samberg and Braugher—who played a younger version of the same kind of character in Homicide: Life on the Street—that warrants close attention.
