Snoop’s parenting tips
Snoop Dogg is a remarkably relaxed dad.
Snoop Dogg is a remarkably relaxed dad, said Shirley Halperin in The Hollywood Reporter. Last month, the rapper’s eldest son, Corde, caused an uproar after he posted a photo on Twitter that showed him sparking up his dad’s 2-foot-long bong. Snoop, whose raps include frequent drug references, doesn’t care if his 18-year-old smokes marijuana. “My kids can do whatever the hell they want,” he says. “For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf---ers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk. Me and my son is mellow.” Snoop, 40, says he often smokes weed with Corde. “I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me. What better way to get it than from the master?” Marijuana is one of Snoop’s few remaining bad habits. The former gangster rapper has renounced violent lyrics, and recently recorded an album of uplifting reggae music under the name Snoop Lion. “I was raised right and with a conscience,” he says. “I know I can’t make up for the wrongs that I did, I’m just trying to do more right than wrong.”
