A congressman who sits on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology has dismissed “evolution, embryology, and big bang theory” as “lies from the pit of Hell.” Speaking to a church group, Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) said that the earth is only 9,000 years old, and that science keeps people “from understanding that they need a savior.”

A terminally ill woman making a final trip to Hawaii was forced by TSA agents at a Seattle airport to lift up her shirt in full view of other passengers. Michelle Dunaj, who is dying of leukemia, said the agents aggressively inspected the bandages and tubes on her chest and stomach. “Everyone was looking at me like I was a criminal,” she said. The TSA says it followed proper procedure.
