Home-brewing your own beer is frustrating. You can be as meticulous as a laboratory scientist when you combine and heat your carefully selected ingredients, yet you still can’t avoid the next frustrating step: “Place in a warm spot, cross your fingers, and wait.” The WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery eliminates the element of chance and produces chilled, ready-to-drink home brews in just seven days. Created by a pair of New Zealanders, it stands waist-high and resembles a giant espresso machine. It won’t be available in the U.S. for some months, but the wait may be worthwhile. “If Willy Wonka had invented a home-brew beer machine,” it would work as magically as this.
