This box set gives Tron fans “a chance to compare and contrast” the classic 1982 sci-fi fantasy and its recent sequel, said Wired. While purists prefer Steven Lisberger’s creation, director Joe Kosinski “boosted the stakes” with 3-D, a digitally generated villain, and a Daft Punk soundtrack.

The first DVD release for this 1959–63 half-hour TV comedy offers “a reminder of a gentler prime-time television landscape,” said the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “Sure, Dennis (Jay North) is always causing trouble for neighbor Mr. Wilson, but it’s pretty innocent trouble.”

Ingmar Bergman’s 1958 film, starring Max von Sydow as a mysterious traveling magician, “deftly delivers all of the Swedish master’s central concerns,” said Salon.com. “Life and art, men and women, language and silence, God and the supernatural” all get screen time.
