Heaviest man ever finishes marathon

Kelly Gneiting, a 400-pound sumo wrestler, became the heaviest man ever to complete a marathon, when he finished the Los Angeles Marathon in 9 hours, 48 minutes, 52 seconds. He jogged the first 8 miles but walked the rest of the 26.2-mile course. Gneiting said that after mile 10, he became “delirious” and lost track of where he was amid heavy rains and strong winds. “I was really struggling in the last 5 miles, but I said to myself: ‘If I have to crawl, I will’,” he said.
