Four year old survives six-story fall

They’re calling it the Miami miracle. Joey Williams, age 4, was chasing a balloon on the balcony of his family’s 17th-story apartment in a Miami high rise when he climbed over the railing and tumbled onto a pool deck six stories below. He sustained only minor injuries. Officials say his fall was slowed when he hit a palm tree and a shrub on the way down, landing on a dirt surface. Jay Moseley witnessed the incident from the deck. “It was like God’s hand was on him as he came down,” Moseley said.

Lost wallet returned after 69 years

It took 69 years, but WWII veteran Robert Bell finally got his wallet back. In 1941, Bell, 88, lost his wallet during military training at a Chicago school. Twenty-five years later, it was found in a crawl space by a school staffer, who tried over the years to locate Bell. Late last year he turned it over to an American Legion Post, which contacted the Social Security Administration. Officials tracked Bell down at a Utah retirement home, where he was delighted to discover the wallet contained two photos of his late wife, taken when she was his girlfriend. “I was just so excited,” Bell said. “I still can’t believe it.”
