How Sharon Osbourne protects her children
The former rock-band manager once sent a Tiffany box containing her own excrement to a journalist who had insulted her three children.
Don’t even think about insulting Sharon Osbourne’s kids, says Stuart Jeffries in the London Guardian. In 2002, the former rock-band manager married to rock star Ozzy Osbourne sent a Tiffany box containing her own excrement to a journalist who had insulted her three children, now ages 26, 25, and 24. “They said my kids were fat,” she recalls. “So f--k them.” And last year, she sued four newspapers after they published derogatory comments about them. “I got pissed off. If there’s bad stuff to be said about me, I’ll say it first. I’m truthful that way. When it’s my kids, it’s a different story. It was so hurtful what they said about Kelly and Jack, about the way they look. We’re Sharon and Ozzy: I’m half a Jew, he’s a little bloke from Birmingham. We’re not going to produce 6-foot-tall blond stunners.” Osbourne says she inherited her vengeful streak from her father, Don Arden, a music impresario and self-styled gangster known as the “Al Capone of pop.” “I started working for my dad when I was 15 and he always played hardball. Being around him made me into a strong woman, someone you f--k with at your peril.”
