Terrorists strike
The week's news at a glance.
Bali, Indonesia
Indonesian investigators believe that three suicide bombers caused the restaurant blasts that killed 22 people and injured scores in Bali last weekend. Police found three heads and three sets of legs, the typical remains of backpack or belt bombers. The near-simultaneous explosions resembled the Bali nightclub bombings of October 2002, which killed 202 people, many Australian tourists. Those attacks were attributed to the al Qaida affiliate Jemaah Islamiyah. But Bali police chief I Made Mangku Pastika said he was reluctant to blame Jemaah Islamiyah for the latest attacks until the suicide bombers were identified.
