Each week, we spotlight a hotel recommended by some of the industry's top travel writers. This week's pick is The Adelphi in Saratoga Springs, New York.
"After a long five years, the Adelphi is back," said Teresa Genaro at Forbes. Following a renovation that stripped the 1877 building to its studs, Saratoga Springs’ grande dame re-emerged last fall with a fresh look that melds the Victorian and modern. A majestic central mahogany staircase was painstakingly restored, and the 32 rooms have been updated with brightly upholstered furniture and freestanding tubs. The hotel has two restaurants plus a cocktail bar, Morrissey’s, named for the man who brought thoroughbred horse racing to Saratoga in 1863.
Read more at Forbes, or book a room at TheAdelphiHotel.com. Doubles start at $199.
