1. 'Elvis' director rejected Harry Styles because 'he's Harry Styles'
If Harry Styles really wanted to land the role of Elvis Presley, he should have tried simply … not being Harry Styles. The former One Direction singer auditioned for the lead role in Baz Luhrmann's new musical biopic Elvis, but the part ended up going to Austin Butler instead, and in an interview on the Fitzy & Wippa podcast, the director explained why. "Harry is a really talented actor," Luhrmann said. "I would work on something with him [but] the real issue with Harry is, he's Harry Styles. He's already an icon." Luhrmann added that Styles was "just desperate to put the suit on and explore," but Butler seemed like he was "almost born to play" the role. That was definitely one direction to take the film in, but we'll find out soon if it was the right one.
2. Iman Vellani got spoiled on 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' by Tom Holland
You know you're part of the Marvel family when you witness Tom Holland casually dropping a giant spoiler. Iman Vellani, who stars in the new Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, revealed in an Elite Daily profile Holland totally spoiled her on Spider-Man: No Way Home. The 19-year-old newcomer recalled chatting up the Spider-Man actor while they were shooting their respective MCU projects, only for him to immediately spill the beans on Tobey Maguire's surprise return. "He was like, 'What's your show even about?'" Vellani said. "I was like, 'What's Spider-Man about?' He fully shows me a photo of him with Tobey Maguire!" It's safe to say Holland has a different spoiler policy than Andrew Garfield, who has described going to great lengths to lie to every single person in his life about the film, including ex-girlfriend Emma Stone. "I get we're both in Marvel," Vellani said of Holland, "but I didn't need to know that before it happened." He can't keep getting away with it!

3. Kanye West and Chaney Jones reportedly break up
Kanye West's latest remake of Vertigo has come to an end. The rapper and Kim Kardashian look-alike Chaney Jones have broken up after a few months of dating, TMZ reports. They reportedly ended their relationship after a recent trip to Japan, though it's not clear what prompted the split. Fans suspected they weren't together anymore after photos emerged of West seeing a movie with another woman. West was first spotted with Jones, a model, in February after things ended between him and actress Julia Fox — and it was impossible not to notice how much Jones looked like West's ex, Kim Kardashian, whom Fox also often dressed like during the short-lived relationship. According to Page Six, rumor has it West is now dating model Monica Corgan, presumably because he hasn't quite cracked cloning technology just yet.
4. 'Fargo' announces new cast of actors who will probably date each other
This is a true story: the new cast of Fargo — and possibly the next Hollywood it couple — has been revealed. Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, and Jennifer Jason Leigh will star in Fargo's fifth season. The FX crime anthology follows a different storyline each season, and this one is set in 2019. According to Variety, it "asks the questions when is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn't yours?" Notably, this is a show that has aired not one, but two seasons in which the stars met on set and ended up dating in real life: Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead met on season 3, and Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst met on season 2 — suggesting there's a non-zero chance Hamm will end up getting hitched either to Temple or Leigh. Fargo: Hollywood's most effective matchmaking service ... and also a TV show.

5. Brad Pitt escalates winery battle with Angelina Jolie
Now that Depp vs. Heard is over, the next big celebrity trial may involve … a winery? Brad Pitt has filed new legal documents as part of a battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, whom he sued for selling her interest in their wine business to a Russian billionaire. In the latest documents, the Fight Club star says the vineyard, Château Miraval, became his "passion" project that he grew "into a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the world's most highly regarded producers of rosé wine." But he alleges Jolie "sought to inflict harm on" him by selling her interest in it without his consent, ultimately damaging the winery's reputation. Pitt is seeking a jury trial — so here's hoping TikTok doesn't catch wind of this one.
