Rihanna under fire for inviting Johnny Depp to fashion show

Hey RiRi, want to RiRi-think this? Less than a week after making her triumphant return to music, Rihanna is facing backlash after TMZ revealed she has invited Johnny Depp to be a "surprise guest" in her upcoming Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 fashion show. According to the report, he'll be the focus of a "star" moment and wear items from the men's collection, making him the first man to take this role in the show. "Rihanna and her team invited Johnny to be a part of it, and both sides were super excited to make it happen," TMZ says, adding that the "vibe" is "cool and chic" and "works for all aspects of Johnny's artistry" — and the appearance has reportedly already been filmed. Months after the Amber Heard defamation trial, some fans slammed Rihanna for the "disgusting and embarrassing" decision. Hey, at least she didn't pull him onto the Black Panther soundtrack … as far as we know.

Kevin Spacey invited to give masterclass, receive lifetime achievement award

Get ready for Kevin Spacey to take his creepy Christmas Eve videos on the road. The disgraced actor has been invited not only to give a masterclass in January 2023 at Italy's National Museum of Cinema in Turin, but also receive a lifetime achievement award there. "We are honored that such a prestigious guest as Kevin Spacey has chosen Turin and an institutional venue such as our museum for this welcome and long-awaited return," National Museum of Cinema president Enzo Ghigo said. "It is a privilege to host the masterclass of one of the greatest cinema and theater actors of our times." Yes, we're still talking about that Kevin Spacey. This will be the actor's first speaking gig in the five years since facing allegations of sexual misconduct, Variety notes. He'll have to start preparing soon, which is presumably the only reason he's not also in Rihanna's fashion show.

Mindy Kaling recalls finding a 'weird' man who broke into B.J. Novak's car

Spooky season may be over, but Mindy Kaling has a belated scary story to share. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Office alum recounted the "most genuinely scary situation" she's been in, which occurred when she went out to dinner with B.J. Novak while she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant. When they parked, Kaling noticed a "weird" guy staring at them, but when he approached them to say he loves The Office, she felt reassured he was "just a nice man." So they headed to the restaurant, but it was closed, and when they went back to Novak's car, they found the man was sitting inside in the driver's seat — and he was on Novak's laptop. Despite being very pregnant, Kaling says she leaned on the car door to keep the man from fleeing, and after Novak confronted him, he told them, "You guys should be careful. Anybody could just get into your car." Another close call with the Scranton Strangler.

Lauren Graham opens up about Peter Krause breakup

Lauren Graham regrets not asking more "questions" about Peter Krause and his "values." The Gilmore Girls star opened up to People about her split from the Six Feet Under actor, who she dated for more than a decade before they broke up last year. "We almost came into a relationship as people in their 40s without asking any of the questions people in their 40s should be asking," she said. "We had such a good time together that I didn't maybe ask some fundamental questions about 'What are your values and what do you envision?' and those more grown-up things. And then they just caught up with us." Graham and Krause dated for 11 years after playing siblings on Parenthood. Now, Graham says she's "in a better place" and looking to be a "good citizen of the world," asking herself, "Who's going to be the fun person to do that with?" Say no more: We'll be there on the next train.

The live-action 'Hercules' will be geared toward TikTok users

We won't say we're in love with this idea. In a new Variety cover story, director Joe Russo revealed Disney's upcoming live-action remake of Hercules, which he's producing, will be inspired by TikTok. "There are questions about how you translate it as a musical," he said. "Audiences today have been trained by TikTok, right? What is their expectation of what that musical looks like and feels like? That can be a lot of fun and help us push the boundaries a little bit on how you execute a modern musical." Russo also claimed the film will be a "little bit more experimental" than Disney's other live-action remakes. But his TikTok quote really ticked off Twitter to the point that the phrase "inspired by TikTok" started trending, conjuring up images of Hercules getting famous in this one by going viral for doing some meme dance, though we're pretty sure he just means the film is a front for sharing your data with the Chinese government.
