Lily-Rose Depp claims 'nepo baby' talk is sexist
The word nepotism comes up a lot in conversations about Lily-Rose Depp, but she claims another "ism" is at play. The 23-year-old star of The Idol and daughter of Johnny Depp suggested in a new Elle profile that allegations she's a "nepo baby" are sexist. "I can definitely say that nothing is going to get you the part except for being right for the part," she insisted, claiming, "The internet cares a lot more about who your family is than the people who are casting you in things. Maybe you get your foot in the door, but you still just have your foot in the door." Depp compared the situation to someone becoming a doctor because their parent is one, adding she finds it "interesting" that men are rarely referred to as nepotism babies. "I just hear it a lot more about women, and I don't think that it's a coincidence," she said. Wow, Jaden Smith erasure!

Brendan Fraser skipping Golden Globes after accusing group's former president of sexual assault
The Brenaissance won't include a stop at the Golden Globes. Brendan Fraser told GQ he has no plans to attend next year's Golden Globes, even though he'll likely be nominated for The Whale, after alleging the former president of the awards body groped him. "It's because of the history that I have with them," he said. "And my mother didn't raise a hypocrite. You can call me a lot of things, but not that." Fraser has accused Philip Berk, former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president, of groping him at a luncheon in 2003, which Berk denied. This year, Fraser is earning Oscar buzz for The Whale, and the Golden Globes are returning to NBC after being yanked from the air. So there's a good chance Fraser could not only be nominated, but actually win — in which case we can expect to hear, "Brendan Fraser couldn't be here tonight … or, rather, he could if the HFPA was less terrible."

Julia Fox is 'thinking about' dating women: 'Maybe I have a gay bone'
After dating Kanye West, Julia Fox may be looking to go as far in the opposite direction as possible. In an interview on Ziwe, the model and Uncut Gems star, who briefly dated Ye this year, confirmed she isn't currently seeing anyone, asking, "Why would I want to waste my time?" When asked if she's ever tried dating women, though, this sounded like a tantalizing prospect. "I have been thinking about it a lot recently," Fox said. "Because I do think maybe I have a gay bone and I need to explore that a little bit more. Like, maybe my ex-boyfriends weren't wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I never wanted to have sex with them." Fox added that while she "can find love in all places and all races," she finds all men "equally horrible" — so she might be the one famous woman to make it through 2022 without ending up on a date with Pete Davidson.

Ansel Elgort's longtime girlfriend confirms they broke up
Here's one case where the phrase "ladies, he's single" may be taken as more of a warning. Ansel Elgort's longtime girlfriend Violetta Komyshan has confirmed she and the Baby Driver star are no longer together. "I think it's fun," Komyshan told E! News of the single life. She was Elgort's high school sweetheart, and they had been dating for almost 10 years. Their break-up comes over two years after Elgort was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in 2014. He denied the allegations, maintaining they "had a brief, legal and entirely consensual relationship." It's not clear when Elgort and Komyshan split, though he may have already moved on, as he was spotted kissing a new woman in Italy over the summer. But Komyshan, a professional dancer, tells E! News, "I'm 26, so right now is the age to push ahead and focus on that — on yourself."

Jodie Sweetin backs up JoJo Siwa after Candace Cameron Bure diss
The Full House cast is officially divided against itself. Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner on Full House, is backing up JoJo Siwa after the Dance Moms star dissed Sweetin's former co-star Candace Cameron Bure. Bure recently faced backlash after telling The Wall Street Journal there will be no LGBT-led Christmas movies on her network Great American Family because it "will keep traditional marriage at the core." On Instagram, JoJo Siwa, who previously called Bure the rudest celebrity she's ever met, said she couldn't believe the actress "would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press" — and Sweetin simply commented, "You know I love you." GLAAD has also slammed Bure, saying it's "irresponsible and hurtful" for her to "use tradition as a guise for exclusion." And to any homophobes out there, all Stephanie Tanner has to say is … How rude!
