Champions League last 16: when is the draw and who have qualified?
England will have five teams in the Uefa Champions League knockout stages
Liverpool have joined Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham in the draw for the Champions League last 16 after their superb 7-0 over Spartak Moscow.
The Reds scored 23 goals as they topped Group E, while Spurs finished in first place in Group H with five victories and one draw from their six matches.
England’s fab five will find out next week who they will face in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Teams that have qualified
- Group winners: Manchester United (Eng), Paris Saint-Germain (Fra), Roma (Ita), Barcelona (Esp), Liverpool (Eng), Manchester City (Eng), Besiktas (Tur), Tottenham Hotspur (Eng)
- Group runners-up: Basel (Sui), Bayern Munich (Ger), Chelsea (Eng), Juventus (Ita), Sevilla (Esp), Shakhtar (Ukr), Porto (Por), Real Madrid (Esp)
When is the draw for the last 16?
The Champions League last 16 draw takes place on Monday, 11 December at 11am UK time. Uefa.com will live stream the draw.
How the draw works
According to Uefa, the last 16 draw works like this:
- Two seeding pots will be formed: one of group winners and one of runners-up.
- No team can play a club from their group or their own association.
- Seeded group winners will be away in the round of 16 first legs on 13/14 and 20/21 February; and at home in the return matches on 6/7 and 13/14 March.
