1. Cameron: I want to bomb ISIS
The British government is committed to working with the US to destroy the "caliphate" set up by Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria, says David Cameron. The prime minister told US television he wanted the UK to do more but said he needed to "take parliament with him". MPs voted against proposed military action in Syria two years ago.
2. Was the Queen merely waving?
Buckingham Palace is being pressed to disclose the documents that would finally reveal the truth about the relationship between the royal family and the Nazi regime of the 1930s. Meanwhile, the Sunday Express claims the Queen was “just waving” in the video published yesterday, showing her at the age of six or seven performing a Nazi salute.
3. Top Labour MP accused of child abuse
A senior Labour MP has been reported to police by two fellow MPs over claims he sexually abused children. A Labour MP passed details about the prominent individual to officers earlier this year, while a fortnight ago, a Tory MP went to the same police force armed with evidence about the same individual, some of which had been provided to him by a former government minister.

4. Cancer care overhaul to be launched
The government is to unveil plans to improve cancer treatment, reports The Sunday Times. In a major overhaul of procedures, GPs will fast-track thousands more patients for diagnostic tests. There will also be a whole new generation of radiotherapy machines to ensure swifter access to the most advanced and effective treatments.
5. It’s war between Bojo, Osborne & May
Civil war has opened in the upper echelons of the Tory party, says the Mail On Sunday. According to the report, Boris Johnson has told David Cameron to stop George Osborne and Theresa May plotting to wreck his chances of becoming party leader and prime minister. The mayor claims his Conservative leadership rivals are trying to “humiliate” him.
6. Simon Cowell confirms Tomlinson rumour
Simon Cowell has seemingly confirmed the rumour that One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is to become a father. Speaking to The Sun, Cowell said: “He didn't kill anyone he got someone pregnant it happens every day all over the world. It is plus not a negative.” There has yet to be an official confirmation of the reports that Tomlinson has got American stylist Briana Jungwirth pregnant.
7. Trump sneers at McCain war record
Donald Trump has criticised senator John McCain's war record, saying the former Vietnam war POW was only considered a hero because he was captured. During a gathering of religious conservatives, host Frank Luntz used the words "war hero" to describe McCain. "He's not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured," said Trump.
8. Labour’s lost voters ‘may not return’
Labour’s lost voters may never return, according to an investigation into why people deserted the party at the election. Two former Labour election directors, who have conducted a series of focus-group interviews, say disillusion with Labour among former backers is now so profound and deep-seated that it is unclear whether Labour will be a relevant force at the next election.
9. Froome ‘had urine thrown over him’
Cyclist Chris Froome says he had urine thrown at him during stage 14 of the race following accusations that he is doping. Britain's Tour de France leader, who extended his overall lead to three minutes 10 seconds, said: "Unfortunately, someone threw a cup of urine into my face and shouted 'doper', which is extremely wrong on so many different levels.”
10. KKK faces off with black activists in US
Hundreds of Ku Klux Klan members and black activists have faced off during opposing rallies at the South Carolina state capitol. A Florida-based group called Black Educators for Justice, based in Jacksonville, Florida, and the North Carolina-based Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan held a rally on the opposite sides of a building.
