1. Kumail Nanjiani got ripped
From The Big Sick to the big six-pack: Check out Kumail Nanjiani, who has gotten so shredded for the upcoming superhero blockbuster Marvel's Eternals that he looks less like a normal person and more like an action figure some kid took out of the packaging. In a refreshingly honest Instagram post acknowledging both his pride and embarrassment at posting a "thirsty shirtless" photo, Nanjiani revealed the secret to his physique: Spending "a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world." You heard the man: If your New Year's resolution is to get fit, all you need to do is get cast in a superhero movie!
2. There's a trailer for the new Top Gun
If you felt the need — the need for speed… well, we hope you weren't waiting on a Top Gun sequel, which is hitting theaters next summer a whopping 34 years after the original. The new trailer shows off the return of Tom Cruise's Maverick, still hot-doggin' after all these years, opposite an ensemble cast that includes Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly, and Miles Teller. Then again, the trailer doesn't include Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone" — so honestly, what's the point?

3. The Cats set was kept at almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit
Every new detail that emerges about Cats makes it sound less like a movie and more like an elaborate social experiment designed to discover how much crap celebrities will tolerate. The latest bizarre revelation? According to Rebel Wilson, the set of Cats was "like a sauna," with temperatures kept at almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Wilson says she was told the extreme heat was designed to prevent possible injuries from muscles cooling down during dance sequences, which we guess is possible — but if we hear any of the actors says they were told to chase down mice or use a litter box while filming, we're officially going to be skeptical.
4. Sterling K. Brown says you're not ready for the next year's This Is Us episodes
Stop us if you've heard this one before — but according to star Sterling K. Brown, an upcoming episode of the NBC drama This Is Us will leave you shocked and devastated and desperately needing at least three boxes of tissues or whatever. Specifically, Brown is warning fans about the upcoming 10th episode of the fourth season, which had him "screaming at the TV out loud." Brown went on to add that the episode is "one of the more shocking things" he'd ever seen — as shocking as, just hypothetically, a This is Us epsiode that wasn't explicitly designed to turn a viewer into a puddle.

5. John Travolta and Olivia Newtown-John threw on the old Grease outfits for a singalong screening
A town in West Palm Peach played host to Grease stars John Travolta and Olivia Newtown-John over the weekend — and by all appearances, they had a blast. At a singalong screening of the 1978 musical classic, Travolta wore a black leather jacket à la Danny, and Newton-John wore a yellow cardigan and skirt à la Sandy. Alas: No reports of a flying car.
