Leicester transfer news: Foxes to sign former Man Utd keeper
01 June
The Premier League champs are ready to make the first signing of the summer with The Sun claiming that the man about to join Leicester is Ron-Robert Zieler.
The 27-year-old German international arrived in Leicester this week for a medical and if all goes well the gloveman will leave Hannover 96 for the King Power Stadium. It won't be the first time that Zieler has joined an English club, although the keeper will be hoping things work out better than they did at Old Trafford.

Zieler joined Manchester United in 2008 but failed to make the grade and was shipped out to Hannover in 2010. The German club posted a statement on their website on Tuesday in which they said Leicester had activated Zieler's £2.6m release and added that the player "has exercised its option right enshrined in his contract". Zieler was a member of Germany’s World Cup-winning squad in 2014 but failed to get any game time ahead of Manuel Neuer.
Meanwhile the Daily Express says that Leicester are battling Arsenal and Stoke for the hand of Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo. The paper, taking Italian rag Gazzetta dello Sport as its source, says the 24-year-old Colombian centre-back "could be available for around £20m", although the Gunners are said to be leading the chase for the South American stopper.
Leicester transfer news: £23m for Nigerian hitman Ahmed Musa
26 May
CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa is being chased by the Foxes with The Sun reporting that he "is the subject of a £23m bid" by the Premier League champions.
Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is known to be a big fan of the 23-year-old, who netted 18 goals for the Russian title winners in all competitions this season, including four in the Champions League.
Apparently Ranieri tried to poach Musa from the Russian capital in January but was told he wasn't for sale. But the Foxes gaffer remains keen and according to CSKA boss Leonid Slutskiy, an offer has been tabled for the Nigerian hitman.
Speaking to Match TV, Slutskiy admitted: "The British club offered a bit less than €30m (£22.86m)." Asked if that was enough for CSKA to sell, Slutskiy kept his cards close to his chest but asked if he thought Musa would stay at the club, Slutskiy said: "I do not know for sure. It is the work of our management but I think the probability is high.".
Leicester transfer news: Liverpool warned off Drinkwater
25 May
Danny Drinkwater has no intention of running out on Leicester. So says The Sun, which reports that the England midfielder is "ready to commit his future to Leicester despite interest from Liverpool".
The Reds have been linked with the 26-year-old in recent months after manager Jurgen Klopp watched Drinkwater play his part in the Foxes' Premier League triumph.
According to the Sun, Klopp is "a huge fan" of the former Manchester United playmaker and it was believed he is ready to hand over £14m in return for Drinkwater. But Leicester gaffer Claudio Ranieri is equally determined not to see his squad pilfered over the summer and a "lucrative new contract" will be presented to Drinkwater in the coming days.
The Sun says it will earn the England man £80,000-a-week and end Liverpool's hopes of luring him to Anfield.
And another player who Leicester are looking to tie down in the coming weeks is Robert Huth with the Leicester Mercury reporting the 31-year-old centre-back is poised to pen an extension and stay loyal to the Foxes. The 31-year-old German arrived at the King Power Stadium from Stoke and was a lynchpin in Leicester's defence, missing just three games in the League campaign.
Leicester transfer news: Champions want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
23 May
Could the Ox soon be a Fox? According to the Daily Mirror Leicester are "planning a raid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain" with the Premier League champs confident Arsenal will sell the inconsistent and injury-prone winger.
In fact, says the Mirror, the Gunners have already lined up Southampton star Sadio Mane as the 22-year-old's replacement and it's expected that Leicester will soon be in a position to officially unveil the England wideman as one of their marquee summer signings.
Apparently Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri isn't put off by Oxlade-Chamberlain's lengthy track record of injuries and believes he can bring out the potential that was only rarely glimpsed during his time at the Emirates. West Ham had been linked with the Ox earlier in the month but the player is reportedly keen to join Leicester now that they're in the Champions League.
Meanwhile the Daily Star claims that Liverpool "are considering a summer move" for Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater. The 26-year-old has caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp this season and the Reds gaffer is preparing a lucrative offer for Drinkwater, who made his England debut earlier this year. Despite the fact Drinkwater would be missing out on tasting Champions League football if he moves to Anfield, the Star says the playmaker would be prepared to forgo the tournament "to play for a big name club".
Leicester transfer news: In-demand Italian wants Foxes deal
20 May
A year ago Italian striker Gianluca Lapadula had probably never heard of Jamie Vardy but now he believes the pair could form a formidable frontline for the Foxes in their title defence next season.
The 26-year-old Lapadula has been in scorching form for Pescara in Italy's Serie B this season, netting 26 times and turning himself into what Talksport describes as an "in-demand hotshot". In fact his goals have taken Pescara into the play-offs with the possibility of reaching Serie A.
But it seems the left-footed Lapadula has his heart set on Leicester despite rumours suggesting Napoli are interested in his services. In conversation with La Gazzetta dello Sport he praised Vardy, saying "we're very similar and are both determined, even if he is right-footed". It's believed Tottenham are also interested but Leicester are leading the race for his signature and could soon be doing a Lapadula of honour around the King Power Stadium.
Leicester may have held it all their own way in the title race this season but in the transfer market they look set to be beaten to the signature of Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet by Southampton. The Sun reports that the Saints sent a delegation to watch the 22-year-old star in action recently "and hope to land him in a £10m deal". Dubbed the "the Belgian Iniesta" by his home-town media, Praet has also been scouted by Arsenal and Liverpool this season but the Sun says Southampton gaffer Ronald Koeman is quietly confident of landing Praet.
Leicester transfer news: Ranieri wants Gylfi Sigurdsson
16 May
The season's over but Leicester's title defence has already begun with boss Claudio Ranieri "plotting a £15m move" for Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to The Sun.
The Swansea’s goalscoring midfielder is being hunted by the Foxes with the Swans' chairman Huw Jenkins expecting a bid to be made in the coming weeks. Apparently the Icelandic ace has "been earmarked as a number ten by the new champs" with Ranieri an admirer of the 26-year-old, who scored nine goals this season.
Sigurdsson has two years left on his current contract and the Sun says that Jenkins is taking a "hard stance" on players wishing to walk out on the club, though he might be prepared to do business with Leicester if they cough up the cash.
The Sun says German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin have also scouted Sigurdsson and Fiorentina are believed to be interested.
Meanwhile the Daily Mirror says that Ranieri has also sent his spies to Italy to check out Inter Milan central defender Jeison Murillo. The paper says that the Leicester gaffer is "scouring the globe looking for new recruits who will fit in well at the King Power Stadium" and he thinks Murillo is just the ticket.
The 23-year-old Colombian could well be tempted by a Leicester approach as Inter have failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Liverpool are also interested in the £22m-rated Murillo, but if the Reds fail to win the Europa League final this week, thereby missing out on European qualification next season, Leicester will have a clear run at the South American blocker.
