‘Back of the net’ - sex moans heard during BBC FA Cup tie
And other stories from the stranger side of life
The BBC’s live coverage of an FA Cup tie was interrupted by sexual groans after a prankster gained access to the broadcaster’s studio and hid a phone with a saucy ringtone. Moaning sounds were heard on air as Gary Lineker previewed the third-round replay between Wolves and Liverpool on Tuesday night in a studio at Molineux stadium. A mobile phone had been planted in the studio by Daniel Jarvis, a comedian, who later boasted on Twitter about the prank.
Woman uses feet to beat archery record
A contortionist landed a Guinness World Record after she stood on her hands and used her feet to shoot an arrow 59 feet and 11 inches into a target. Shannen Jones, an Aussie, said she practised for six years before plucking up the courage to take on the challenge for farthest arrow shot using feet. Announcing her success on Instagram, she shared a behind-the-scenes video showing how she shot the arrow from a distance of 59 feet and 11 inches and struck the jackpot of a 4.7-inch diameter target.
Drinking increases risk of online addiction
Drinking more than once a week might put you more at risk of internet or gaming addiction, according to new research. After analysing the DNA of more than 3,000 people and questionnaires on their behaviour, experts from Hungary found genes with links to multiple forms of addictive behaviour. One, FOXN3, was linked to increased likelihood of high alcohol consumption and being more prone to internet addiction and gaming disorder, said The Telegraph.
