Three escaped pigs strolled into a supermarket in Russia and raided the alcohol aisle. A video taken at the store in Siberia shows the porky trio browsing the booze and knocking over bottles of cognac, before lapping up the spilt drink. They returned to their owner unharmed.
Flower that smells of poo and dead rat draws a crowd
A rare flower with a smell that has been compared to a rotting corpse has bloomed at a public garden in Auckland, New Zealand. The smell of the flower has been described as like “dead rat, but with added sulphurous odours with faeces”. As news spread of its blooming, 150 people visited the garden to check it out.

Angry tortoise survives fire it started
An “angry” tortoise has started a house fire in Essex. The pet knocked a heat lamp onto his bedding, which quickly caught alight. Essex County Fire and Rescue Service claimed that the 45-year-old creature was “angry” despite their successful efforts to rescue it from the blaze.
