Instagram influencer jailed for climbing pyramid

An influencer says he spent five days in an Egyptian jail after climbing one of the Pyramids of Giza. Sharing a photograph of himself on top of a pyramid, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, who has 3.1 million followers on Instagram, said: “No words can explain what I just went through the past five days. I’ve been in jail many times but this one was by far the very worst. Was it worth it? F*** yeah!”
Elephant checks into Sri Lankan hotel
A wild elephant has been filmed enjoying the facilities at a hotel in Sri Lanka. The elephant, named Natta Kota, lives in the grounds of the Jetwing Yala Hotel on the island’s south east coast, and sometimes strolls inside for a look around. As the video did the rounds on Twitter, one wag remarked: “Waiting for the bellboy to step in and ask if he would like help with his trunk.”

UFO fan films bright lights over Vegas
A UFO enthusiast says they have filmed three unexplained lights slowly landing at a United States Air Force base in Las Vegas. The vlogger, called UFOs Over Vegas, said the lights “definitely came down inside Nellis Air Force base or right on the perimeter”. However, one commenter said the lights were likely to be drones.
