Boozy man's bladder bursts as he holds pee for 18 hours
And other stories from the stranger side of life
A man’s bladder burst when he resisted the temptation to urinate for 18 hours after drinking ten bottles of beer. Following the binge, the 40-year-old man in China fell asleep without answering the call of nature. After presenting himself to Zhuji People’s Hospital in Zhejiang, he was told his bladder was torn in three places. One of the holes had ruptured toward his abdominal cavity and forced part of his intestines to spill into the bladder.
Leech enters man's penis and drinks blood
An elderly man in Cambodia also had a bad old time of it when a leech entered his body through his penis and drank a pint of blood from his internal organs. It is believed that the leech slithered inside the patient when he went for a naked dip in a pond. The removal process was complicated by the fact that the leech had swollen in size.
