Residents of the small Michigan community of Hell, 95km west of Detroit, have revealed that their town officially froze over, as night time temperatures plummeted to -26C. The US is in the grip of the so-called polar vortex, which has sent freezing weather across the north-eastern states this week.
Man silences angry wife with lottery win
A Kansas man has revealed that he discovered he had won $22,000 during an argument with his wife over how much money he spent playing the lottery. “When I showed my wife how much I had won, she immediately quit bickering. We were both very surprised,” Louis Kronawitter told local media.

Ariana Grande makes tattoo typo worse
Singer Ariana Grande has revealed an attempt to fix a misspelled tattoo has, arguably, made the situation worse. The tattoo was meant to read “Seven Rings”, but a typo made the Japanese characters spell “little charcoal grill”. An attempt to fix the tattoo means it now reads “Japanese BBQ fingers”.
