Sir Stephen Waley-Cohen set up the charity to bring young disadvantaged people into the West End to experience theatre. More than 12,000 young people are taken to top London theatre productions each year that do not have the opportunity to participate for a variety of social, cultural or financial reasons. For many children, this may be their first-ever theatre experience which may inspire and broaden their horizons. The charity also creates education programmes for schools and youth groups that use theatre as a catalyst to explore ideas, learn new skills, develop creativity and offer new perspectives.
