Amref Health Africa is Africa's leading health development organisation.
Founded in Kenya in 1957, the organisation has more than 57 years of unparalleled experience in community-based health care programmes. Their vision is lasting healthcare change in Africa. The organisation is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and has 150 active programmes across 35 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Last year Amref Health Africa trained 258,000 people in health and health-related issues, improving the health of nine million adults and five million children. They are pioneers of training, research and medical outreach, and they ensure that knowledge is shared at every point.
