At a press conference Wednesday night, Esaw Garner, Eric Garner's widow, said that she is "determined to get justice" for her late husband.
"He should not have been killed in that way, he shouldn't have been killed in any way," Garner said. "I will fight until the end."
Daniel Pantaleo, the New York police officer who put Eric Garner in a lethal chokehold, issued an apology after a Staten Island grand jury's decision not to indict him. But Esaw Garner rejected the apology, saying, "Hell no. The time for remorse would have been when my husband was yelling to breathe."
