Passengers take plane trouble into their own hands, push plane themselves

When extreme temperatures left a plane stuck on the runway, passengers took matters into their own hands — literally.

The Russian passenger plane was heading to Krasnoyark's Yemelyanovo airport with 74 passengers. Oksana Gorbunova, senior assistant to the transport prosecutor in West Siberia, told The Independent that the plane's brake system was jammed, thanks to the cold.

"The tug-truck failed to get the plane moving, so friendly passengers agreed to help, and they soon safely left for home," Gorbunova said.
