Get ready for 'mistletoe drones' at TGI Friday's this holiday season

The U.K. branch of TGI Friday's has an interesting idea for bringing customers into its restaurants this winter.
"Half of U.K. adults have never had a kiss under the mistletoe," laments a new ad for the so-called "mistletoe drones." As the name suggests, the drones will carry mistletoe above customers in the hopes of inspiring them to engage in a little holiday action. The drones also have a built-in "kiss cam" to record the special moment.
Rachel Waller, a spokesperson for TGI Friday's, told the Manchester Evening News that the drones will "offer guests the encouragement they need to make their move" toward their dining companions. "Not only are they great fun for the entire restaurant, but they help people get a little closer at this time of the year," Waller said. "Who knows — maybe we'll have had our first mistletoe drone wedding by this time next year."
