The White House Correspondents' Dinner has found its next host. In an email on Wednesday, WHPCA President Christi Parsons announced that Saturday Night Live cast member Cecily Strong will serve as the emcee for the annual event, which unites members of the press and members of the presidential administration for a swanky soiree.

Explaining the choice, Parsons wrote that Strong's sense of humor " is sly and edgy, and it comes with a Chicago accent," adding that Strong's father is "a legendary former Associated Press bureau chief."
