The Hunger Games will soon be a 'state-of-the-art' stage play

Katniss Everdeen is jumping from the screen to the stage. Lionsgate has announced plans to mount a Hunger Games "theatrical experience" in London, which will open sometime in 2016.
In a statement, Lionsgate promised to use "world-class production values and state-of-the-art technology" to bring The Hunger Games to life on stage. And they're making no small investment in the project; a new theater, next to London's Wembley Stadium, will be purpose-built for the show.
Of course, we all remember what happened the last time someone brought an expensive blockbuster franchise to the stage. May the box-office be ever in their favor.
