For those who have everything: The bug-murdering suitcase
A suitcase that kills hidden pests — and more in our collection of bizarrely elite consumer products
The ThermalStrike suitcase ($199) is no ordinary carry-on: It "functions as an execution chamber for stowaway bugs," said Judi Dash at the Los Angeles Times. Bedbugs and lice stand no chance when the bag is plugged into a wall socket. The suitcase's interior walls are lined with infrared heating panels that warm all contents to a "bug lethal" 140 degrees. An empty ThermalStrike can be rendered pest free in two hours, while a loaded bag requires eight. Just be sure to remove any chocolates, medications, electronics, and cosmetics before cooking.
