Chicago police arrested a 49-year-old man Wednesday who was waving the ISIS flag outside of his car and threatening to bomb officers.
The authorities were called by someone reporting a "suspicious person" in a silver Pontiac, NBC Chicago reports. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped off, and backup was called. Once officers were able to arrest the man, he claimed to have a bomb in his car that he would set off if they did a search, the police reports states.
The FBI, Homeland Security, and a bomb squad came to inspect the car, but no bomb was found. Emad Karakrah is now facing felony charges of disorderly conduct and aggravated fleeing, and a misdemeanor count of driving on a never-issued license.
