Rush Limbaugh has a solution for women who don't want to get pregnant: Don't have sex. Responding to the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling, Limbaugh said some people "treat [pregnancy] as a great imposition that women need to be protected from."
"And yet, they wouldn't have the problem if they didn't do a certain thing," he added.
Limbaugh's assertion that birth control is only necessary to prevent pregnancy is factually incorrect. A Guttmacher Institute survey found that 14 percent of women who take the pill do so exclusively for non-contraceptive purposes, such as regulating their periods; more than half use the pill at least in part for a non-contraceptive purpose.
