Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R ) has a habit of stepping in it. After his infamous "oops" moment in the 2012 GOP debates, Perry remarked that he was "glad I had my boots on tonight because I sure stepped in it out there." And now, Perry is once again admitting he trod on something unfortunate.

Speaking to a group of reporters at a Thursday luncheon, Perry said he "stepped right in it" when he compared homosexuality to alcoholism last week. Perry also said Thursday he would be "better prepared" than he was in 2012 should he decide to launch another presidential campaign. Yet judging by Perry's inability to stop stepping in it, he has much more preparation to go.
