Watch the intense final Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer
We're less than a month away from the highly anticipated sequel to 2011's surprise hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes — and this intense final trailer offers the best glimpse of the all-out war between humans and apes that begins in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. (Based on that title, you can probably guess who wins.) "You know the scary thing about them?" says a human survivor in the new trailer. "They don't need power. Lights, heat, nothing. That's their advantage. That's what makes them strong."
Of course, that advantage doesn't necessarily mean that the apes want to eradicate the human race. This new trailer makes it clear that there's plenty of in-fighting happening on both sides, too, with a particular bond forming between Malcolm (Jason Clarke) and Caesar (Andy Serkis), the ape returning from the previous film in the series. "I am sorry, my friend. War has begun," says Caesar — and given the horse-riding, machine gun-toting apes that pop up at the end of the trailer, it's probably too late for a peace treaty.
