McDonald's offers its minimum-wage employees some rather eyebrow-raising advice — and more in our collection of strange revelations about the nation

A McDonald's website for employees suggested they return unwanted gifts and sell possessions to "bring in some quick cash" during the holiday season. The McResource site also encouraged the company’s minimum-wage employees to break food into smaller pieces to feel more full, and to "stop complaining," because it increases stress.
