A Domino's Pizza manager in Florida literally sets fire to the competition — and more in our collection of strange revelations about the nation

After a Papa John's pizza shop in Lake City, Fla., burned to the ground, cops got a tip from employees at the local branch of rival pizza chain Domino's: It was arson, and their boss was the culprit. Domino's managers Bryan Sullivan, 22, and Sean Davidson, 23, were arrested, and Davidson confessed to the crime. The motive? Apparently, they figured less competition was good for their restaurant. What company loyalty, says Hamilton Nolan at Gawker. As a lowly manager, "the direct financial benefit for which he risked his very freedom is unclear, at best."
