Just 20 percent of Republican women hope to see a female president in their lifetime

A new Pew study reveals that only 20 percent of Republican women want to see a female president within their lifetime.

When asked if they "personally hope" the United States will elect a female president in their lifetime, 20 percent of Republican women answered "yes," versus 69 percent of Democratic women and 45 percent of independent women.

As for the male respondents, 16 percent of Republican men hoped to see a female president within their lifetime, as did 46 percent of Democratic men and 32 percent of independent men.
