Mike Huckabee and Jon Stewart discuss Beyoncé, Ted Nugent, and the 'Bubba' factor in politics

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R), who recently quit his Fox News show to explore another run for president, was on The Daily Show on Monday to promote his new book. He and Jon Stewart did talk about the book, God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy, but first Stewart offered some career advice: Go back to Fox "and beg them for your job — you have made a terrible, terrible mistake."
Huckabee laughed and expertly steered the conversation to his book, which promotes a view of America as a clash between the "bubbles" of New York, Washington, and Hollywood, and "the land of the Bubbas," which is basically everywhere else. Stewart wasn't buying it, but he really wanted to talk about Huckabee's criticism of Beyoncé's sexually explicit songs, and how they're different than the sexually explicit song Ted Nugent performed on Huckabee's own show. It actually makes for a surprisingly interesting, remarkably cordial discussion, and you can watch it below. —Peter Weber
