The Islamic State on Tuesday released a video appearing to show the group burning a Jordanian hostage alive.

The video's release comes days after the militant group released another video showing the decapitated head of a Japanese hostage, Kenji Goto. ISIS initially demanded a $200 million ransom for the captives, then instead sought to swap the men for a failed suicide bomber imprisoned in Jordan. A deadline to make the exchange passed last week.
