Following months of rumors, Marvel has officially tapped two very familiar names to helm the next two movies in the Avengers franchise. Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed last year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will direct Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2 (which are slated to hit theaters in 2018 and 2019, respectively). Before taking on every Avenger, they'll collaborate on 2016's Captan America: Civil War.
Prior to Captain America: The Winter Soldier — their first work under the Marvel brand — the Russo Brothers' noteworthy collaborative projects include the pilots for several cultishly beloved sitcoms, including Arrested Development, Community, and Happy Endings, as well as 2007's not-very-well-received Owen Wilson vehicle You, Me and Dupree.
The Avengers will return to the big screen on May 1 in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron.
