Israel claims report it spied on U.S.-Iran nuclear talks is 'baseless'

Israel on Tuesday forcefully pushed back against a Wall Street Journal report alleging that it spied on closed-door nuclear negotiations between Iran and the U.S. "There is no such thing as Israel spying on the Americans," Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said. A handful of other Israeli officials similarly shot down the report, including Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz, who said the allegations "are baseless and we reject them outright." Israel allegedly leaked information from its snooping to Congress in an attempt to undercut the developing nuclear deal, according to the Journal.
