Feds arrest two women in New York over alleged ISIS-inspired bomb plot
Federal authorities and the NYPD on Thursday arrested two women in Queens whom they say planned to detonate a bomb in the New York City area.
After becoming radicalized by ISIS propaganda, the two suspects reportedly discussed potential targets online and sought to build an improvised explosive, though there was no specific plot, according to NBC. The two are expected to appear in federal court in Brooklyn later Thursday.
The arrests come after authorities in February arrested three Brooklyn men over an alleged plot to join ISIS and bomb Coney Island.
