Negotiators reach agreement on outline of landmark Iranian nuclear deal

After months of tense discussions and two last-minute extensions, negotiators on Thursday announced they had reached an agreement on the basic framework of a 10-year deal to curb Iran's nuclear program.
"We have reached solutions on key parameters on a comprehensive plan of action," Federica Mogherini, the European Union's foreign policy chief, said in a joint statement.
Under the basics of the deal, Iran would be limited to one nuclear facility, at Natanz, while the U.S. and European Union would immediately lift all sanctions. The U.S., Iran, and the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany now have until a June 30 deadline to reach a final comprehensive deal.
