By late Wednesday night, more than 60 protesters marching in solidarity with Baltimore demonstrators were arrested in New York City, and law enforcement sources believe the number will rise.

Thousands of protesters gathered at Union Square in the afternoon for a rally demanding justice for Freddie Gray, and then split into different groups going in several directions, NBC New York reports. At the beginning of the march, more than 12 protesters were arrested near Union Square for blocking the street, and later, at least one person was taken into custody after getting into a skirmish with officers in Times Square.
