Obama's 2012 director gloats about helping re-elect David Cameron
On the one hand, Jim Messina is a professional campaign adviser, and Britain's Conservative prime minister, David Cameron, is "bros" with his old boss, President Obama. On the other hand, U.S. Democrats and Britain's Tories aren't usually ideological allies. Messina, who has been advising Cameron's successful re-election campaign after managing Obama's in 2012, wasn't shy about touting his clients big win on Thursday:

Robert Mackey at The New York Times also notes something oddly familiar about the victory photo Cameron tweeted, noting that he posted "an image of himself embracing his wife, Samantha, that seemed to echo a photograph of Mr. Obama celebrating his re-election with a similar, if perhaps better executed, hug in 2012."
The man Cameron defeated, Labour's Ed Miliband, was advised by another Obama campaign adviser, David Axelrod. His Twitter account was silent Friday morning.
