The riots in Baltimore caused an estimated $9 million in damage

A survey conducted by the Small Business Administration and the Maryland governor's office estimates that the riots in Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray caused $9 million in damage.

Using preliminary data, it was determined that 284 businesses and two homes were damaged from April 25 to May 3, Small Business Administration spokeswoman Carol Chastang told BuzzFeed News. The businesses were hit by $8,927,000 worth of damage, the homes $60,000.
