One person is dead and several injured after a military helicopter crashed at Bellows Air Force Station on Oahu Sunday.
In a statement, the Marine Corps said that 12 people were taken to hospitals after their MV-22 Osprey from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit had a "hard-landing mishap," Hawaii News Now reports. The aircraft had 21 people on board, including four crew members, and sources within the Honolulu Fire Department told Hawaii News Now that one Marine died.
Witnesses at a nearby beach told Hawaii News Now they saw three aircrafts doing rotations in the sky. They made their descent, but only two aircrafts came back up, and just seconds later thick black smoke could be seen.
