On Twitter, users hijack Syrian news agency's #SummerInSyria campaign

Syria's state news agency Sana made a major blunder earlier this week when it asked people to tweet photos showing their fun "moments of summer," using the hashtag #SummerInSyria.
Instead of pictures featuring smiling faces, pool parties, and outdoor concerts, Twitter users are sharing photos of civilian casualties, destroyed buildings, and other harsh realities of the war that has been raging for four years. Even the U.S. Embassy in Syria is taking part, tweeting photos of the aftermath of barrel bombs hitting the Al Bayan Hospital in Aleppo.
