Donald Trump is throwing a wrench in Jeb Bush's debate prep

Predicting the unpredictable is exactly what Jeb Bush has to do to prepare to face off against Donald Trump in the first Republican presidential debate on August 6. With Bush positioned as the frontrunner in the GOP field, he'll likely be a prime target — particularly for Trump.
The real estate mogul has already jumped on the former Florida governor, calling him a "total disaster" and asking, "How the hell can you vote for this guy?" Trump has even gone after Bush's wife on Twitter. And as the Republican field continues to heat up, more of these comments are likely to come. "Trump has one target and one target only," an adviser to a rival GOP candidate told Politico. "He's going to bring a lawn mower for Bush."
Bush is trying to prepare himself for Trump's zingers as much as possible, but, unsurprisingly, a man like Trump isn't so easy to game. As Republican strategist Nelson Warfield put it to Politico, "Trump presents a challenge for Bush because he's a hand grenade." In a recent phone call, Bush reportedly went so far as to ask the questions that have probably been on the minds of most Americans: What's the point of Trump's antics, and what exactly is his endgame? If he figures that out, hopefully he'll let the rest of us know.
