For those times when you get a hankering for soup but just don't have the energy to open a can and dump the contents into a pot, there's now Campbell's Soup for Keurig.

Consumers with Keurig machines use pods called K-Cups to make single servings of coffee and tea. Campbell's has partnered with Keurig to offer Fresh-Brewed Soup kits in two flavors: Homestyle Chicken Broth & Noodle and Southwest Style Chicken Broth & Noodle. The kits will come with a packet of noodles and a K-Cup of soup, with each serving just 70 calories. Michael Goodman, marketing director of innovation at Campbell Soup, said that some consumers (probably rightfully) worried that their "soup would taste like coffee, or coffee would taste like soup," so Keurig recommends running a brew cycle when switching between products.

Goodman told USA Today he's excited to see what comes of the collaboration. "For us this is about building a major innovation platform, which is around convenient snacking," he said.
